Tonight I’m bringing you movie stills and photoshoots from two Hayworth pictures that were released in 1947: The Lady from Shanghai and Down to Earth, two very different movies that feature Rita at the peak of her beauty. Not everyone loves Rita’s cropped topaz blonde hair in The Lady from Shanghai but I personally have always thought she looks very elegant and iconic in the role of Elsa Bannister.

There’s no denying that Rita is exceptionally gorgeous no matter what she does but I have to admit that I prefer her with dark hair instead of blonde.

Rina – I do prefer Rita with red hair most of all but I do love her dark and blonde hair too. Like you said, she’s always exceptionally gorgeous!
